Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor - Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. This individual will establish and implement departmental policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Leadership: Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Maintenance Operations: Assist in decision-making on equipment included in the preventive maintenance program, manage work orders for preventive maintenance assigned to the maintenance crew, and act as a technical representative on facilities projects.
  • Training and Development: Schedule training for all personnel in the Maintenance Department, including universal precautions, infectious control, and safety training.
  • Expertise and Knowledge: Maintain a high level of expertise in the field of maintenance and have a basic knowledge of and ability to implement aspects of the Universal Building Code, National Fire Code, Universal Plumbing Code, Universal Mechanical Code, OSHA, Americans with Disabilities Act, NFPA Life & Safety Codes.
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Have experience in cost estimation and budgeting for various maintenance accounts.
  • Communication and Reporting: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
