Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees and manages accounts receivable services through an offshore Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner and their team. The primary focus is on ensuring efficient execution of AR processes, including debtor account maintenance, customer payment collection, bad debt recovery and minimisation.

This role is pivotal in optimising financial operations, monitoring cash flow, mitigating credit risks and implementing process enhancements within the BPO model. Effective management of outsourced AR services is crucial in upholding CEVA Logistics ANZ's financial health and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct timely credit checks on new and existing customers, with accurate debtor analysis for long and overdue debts.
  • Develop and implement reporting processes for Aged Debtors Summary, Debtor Days Outstanding and Cash Collected – actual versus budget.
  • Provide coaching and training for offshore BPO collections officers to achieve standard performance measures.
  • Authorise credit note raising and processing, ensuring justifiable approval and audit trail.
  • Perform doubtful debt provisions and monitor cash flow.
  • Liaise with counsel to support debt recovery and respond to business reporting requirements.
  • Ensure trading terms adherence and supervise monies owed collection.
  • Communicate with customers regarding outstanding debt matters and resolve associated issues.
Requirements
  • Tertiary or vocational qualification in accounting, finance or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software for efficient AR process management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, dispute resolution and negotiating skills.
  • Effective communication, stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
