Job Opportunity: Quantitative Analyst in Clearing Risk Modelling

The role of a Quantitative Analyst in the Clearing Risk Quantitative Modelling Team is to develop and implement quantitative methodologies for risk management. The purpose of this role is to design and execute stress testing and margin methodologies for new products and initiatives.

About the Role
  • Develop stress testing methodologies for new products and initiatives, ensuring robustness and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development of back-testing methodology and framework, leveraging statistical analysis and modelling skills.
  • Collaborate with junior members of the team, guiding and mentoring their work to ensure timely delivery to a high standard.
  • Document models and changes to existing models, adhering to governance processes and standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years' experience as a market risk quantitative analyst in a clearing house, banking, finance or related environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline, including mathematics, statistics, engineering, or quantitative finance.
  • Deep knowledge of exchange traded and OTC products, derivatives pricing, and market data conventions.
  • Advanced statistical analysis and modelling skills, with expertise in R and/or Python.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills, with ability to work independently.
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience collaborating effectively with senior management and regulators.
