Job Description

The ECC Veterinary Nurse will play a vital role in delivering high-end patient care and working closely with the ECC specialist, intern, and vets.

  • Apply clinical nursing skills to an emergency and critical care focused caseload, including blood transfusion therapy, mechanical ventilation, catheterisation techniques, and triage/stabilisation of the emergency patient.
  • Work directly with ECC specialists and contribute to continuing professional development.
  • Use assessment and recording systems to identify and report abnormalities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in a specialty and/or critical care role.
  • Further training in an ECC nursing role is preferred.
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
