Job Title: Autonomous Vehicle Operations Specialist

Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and evaluating self-driving vehicles in autonomous mode, including collecting data and providing feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and evaluate autonomous vehicles on defined and undefined routes, taking into account various environmental conditions.
  • Collect and log relevant data, and provide verbal feedback and directions regarding the autonomous vehicle's environment.
  • Conduct thorough testing of other aspects of our autonomous vehicles.
  • Prepare and submit detailed ride reports to operations and engineering teams in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards of safety both inside and outside the vehicle at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with laptops and office applications, including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
  • Ability to use handheld devices or touchscreen smartphones with ease.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly articulate thoughts.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional standing, walking, and extended periods of sitting.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 45 pounds occasionally.
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are essential.
