Our team seeks a skilled Technical Maintenance Specialist to join our efforts in creating cutting-edge autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of AUVs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, repairs, and refurbishments of AUV mechanical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues through component and subsystem-level testing
  • Operate the Maintenance Management System (MMS) to record accurate maintenance activities and parts consumption
  • Conduct underway sea testing of AUVs to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AUV maintenance activities
  • Assist in preparing risk assessments and implementing mitigations for maintenance and test operations
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve AUV designs and processes
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in maintaining mechanical systems or structures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-tool skills
  • Vocational training in mechanical trades or an associate degree is preferred
  • Maritime trade background and subsea experience are desirable
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, including mechanical drawings and work instructions
  • Experience with component, subsystem, and system-level testing and issue diagnosis
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
