
Clinical Forensic Specialist

We are seeking experienced mental health nurses to join our multidisciplinary team as clinicians. This role offers a unique opportunity to challenge yourself and contribute to the development of forensic intervention services in Victoria.
Job Description:This is an ongoing clinical role that involves working with individuals who have complex needs and histories of violent and sexual offending. As a clinician, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based assessments, interventions, and treatment programs to support individuals in reducing their risk of re-offending.
Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality clinical services, including comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, and treatment interventions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client.
You will also be responsible for preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including court appearances and parole board submissions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A current registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses;
- A strong background in mental health nursing, with experience working with individuals who have complex needs;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues;
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines;
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best-practice approaches in forensic mental health.
