Key Role in Analytics

St John of God Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics Lead to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing commercial analytics strategies that drive business outcomes.

This role requires a deep understanding of data science, business acumen, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years' experience in analytics or data science, with a proven track record of delivering commercial value through data-driven insights.

The Analytics Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategic plans to address these opportunities. They will also lead a small team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on skills in Python/R and SQL, as well as experience working with PowerBI or similar BI tools. They will also have a solid understanding of Australian private hospital funding and procurement/supply-chain data flows.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial analytics strategies that drive business outcomes
  • Lead a small team of data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop strategic plans to address identified opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to frame problems, prioritize work, and embed data-driven decisions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum six years' experience in analytics or data science
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial value through data-driven insights
  • Strong hands-on skills in Python/R and SQL
  • Experience working with PowerBI or similar BI tools
  • Solid understanding of Australian private hospital funding and procurement/supply-chain data flows
