Job Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will drive business strategy and planning to ensure the organisation remains responsive to its strategic plan and broader national plan. This role requires a strong professional leader able to mobilise a multidisciplinary workforce across a broad portfolio of responsibility and to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a diverse organisation at executive level with accountability and effective coordination across staff, community and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Aboriginal governance, corporate governance, and general management practices within Aboriginal organisations and communities.
  • Drive organisational growth through sustainable enterprise development and strategic financial management.
  • Lead organisational priorities through the Country Plan and the Strategic Plan.
  • Operate effectively across different cultural contexts with excellent communication skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day operations of a diverse organisation at executive level with accountability and effective coordination across staff, community and stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of Aboriginal governance, corporate governance, and general management practices within Aboriginal organisations and communities.
  • Experience in strategic financial management, sustainable enterprise development, and driving organisational growth.
  • A proven ability to drive organisational priorities through the Country Plan and the Strategic Plan.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across different cultural contexts.
