The purpose of this position is to deliver specialist psychiatric health services to patients and their families, while enabling entry to training and professional development activities. This will facilitate progression towards becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care using a biopsychosociocultural framework that supports integrated mental and physical healthcare.
They will have a passion for learning, education, and professional development in Psychiatry, demonstrated by ongoing expertise and progress towards attainment of Fellowship competencies of the RANZCP. Across time, the position holder will provide high-quality patient care throughout the mental health continuum, in various settings, and across different age groups.
The successful applicant is expected to contribute to improving mental health care for Aboriginal people, and suitable Aboriginal candidates will be given priority in allocation.
- Have been accepted into training by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), with less than 12 months of Full Time Equivalent Psychiatry training successfully completed.
