IT Service Management Excellence Lead

Our organization seeks an exceptional IT Service Management (ITSM) professional to drive operational excellence and lead strategic initiatives. As the ITSM Excellence Lead, you will oversee a team responsible for delivering and maturing ITSM practices across our department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives, driving capability maturity in line with ITIL and public sector best practices, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure ICT services are reliable and user-focused, and providing high-level strategic advice on ITSM performance.

  • Lead the ITSM team across core functions, including Incident and Problem Management, Change and Release Management, Configuration and Knowledge Management, and Service Level Management.
  • Develop and implement departmental ITSM frameworks, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Manage team capability, including training, development, and succession planning to support a high-performance workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive business continuity planning and execution across ITSM functions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with departmental strategic goals.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in leading ITSM functions within a large organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL practices and their practical implementation for service delivery excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
