The Senior Project Manager will make a significant contribution to the following tasks, demonstrating a high level of expertise and producing deliverables with minimal guidance from senior team members.
Establish project budgets in accordance with client requirements and manage expenditure to achieve completion within budget.
Prepare PCG reports and attend PCG meetings as required.
Lead value engineering, buildability analysis, and assist in critically reviewing design and documentation to minimize risk and maximize outcomes.
Administer contracts with clients, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring proper execution and maintenance.
Establish and maintain anticipated cost reports, including cash flows and accruals. Ensure timely submission of invoices from vendors to both clients and accounting.
Review and provide recommendations on variations. Collect and vet supporting documentation for client submission. Obtain timely client approvals.
Implement and maintain PDS Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality systems, taking responsibility for areas under direction.
Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues in all aspects of project management.
- Education in a relevant project or construction management discipline or related field.
- Confidently manage project delivery from inception to closure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and experience in managing cost reporting systems.
- Understanding of commercial aspects, planning, and delivery constraints.
- Ability to negotiate commercially with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities within established limits of authority.
- Understanding of responsibilities and accountabilities within HSEQ systems.
- Detailed understanding of various delivery methods (project management, construction management, managing contractor) and pricing models.
- Strong presentation and delivery skills.
