Job Opportunity

Lives Lived Well is seeking to appoint a mental health professional to join our expanding Targeted Psychological Therapies Program. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide support and services to vulnerable individuals in the Darling Downs region.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a clinical and research team, and independently to meet project deliverables. You will be responsible for providing individual therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, grief, and cognitive impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns
  • Provide psychological insights and recommendations to enhance overall care and well-being
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling or treatments, and modify plans and diagnoses as necessary
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs and capabilities of each client

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and current General Registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA) or Mental Health accredited Social Worker with AASW
  • A genuine passion for social justice and making a difference in those marginalised, vulnerable, and disadvantaged groups in the community
  • Openness and a non-judgemental approach
  • High-level interpersonal skills
  • Experience in clinical risk assessment and management
