Lives Lived Well supports people to live their lives well. We provide support for people in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia with concerns related to alcohol and other drugs, mental health, transitioning from corrective services, veterans’ wellbeing, and gambling.

**About the Program**
The Targeted Psychological Therapies Program is aimed at increasing access to psychological treatments for vulnerable individuals in the Darling Downs region. This may include those at risk of suicide or self-harm, the LGBTIQA+ communities, and other marginalised groups within our region.
The program will run in multiple locations. You will be based in Dalby, covering the local government area for outreach activities.
**Your Opportunity**
In this position, you will have the opportunity to provide support and services to those who are most vulnerable and reduce barriers. In your role, you will provide brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, for up to 10 sessions. Working with the individual you will provide psychological interventions focused on recovery or reducing the distress of the presenting issue.
You will receive support from LLW to undertake your role through our well established organisational clinical governance. The management and administration of referral allocation is also covered by LLW. You will undertake travel in the local region to service clients.
**Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:
- Provide individual therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, grief, and cognitive impairments.
- Provide psychological insights and recommendations to enhance overall care and well-being.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling or treatments, and the accuracy and completeness of diagnoses, then modify plans and diagnoses as necessary.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs and capabilities of each client.
- Ensure appropriate clinical risk management strategies are in place to keep clients safe.Refer clients to other treating professionals, institutions, or support services if required.
We are recruiting two full time positions with the possibility of part-time for the right applicant (minimum of 3 full days per week). These positions are until 30th June 2025 with possibility of extension.
The gross annual salary (full-time) ranges between $97,377 to $119,869 depending on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience. On top of this, you will receive 11.5% superannuation payment, and leave loading (17.5%). You can also significantly increase your take home pay via the salary sacrificing option available to you.
**What You’ll Bring**
To succeed in this role, there are some essentials you’ll need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and current General Registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA) or Mental Health accredited Social Worker with AASW. _Provisional Psychologists and Social Workers pursuing a mental health accreditation are encouraged to apply. _
- A genuine passion for social justice and making a difference in those marginalised, vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in the community.
- Openness and a non-judgemental approach.
- High level interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a clinical and research team, and independently to meet project deliverables.
- Experience in clinical risk assessment and management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks (that guide decision making within human service delivery).Current Australian Driver’s licence and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Whist not essential we would also love you to have:
Demonstrated experience in the provision of evidence-based assessment and treatment to clients in vulnerable and marginalised groups.
