Job Description

Role Summary:

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Villa Maria Residential Aged Care home in Eastern Heights. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in supporting enriching leisure and social opportunities that enable our residents to live a satisfying life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a wide range of social and leisure programs driven by the interests and needs of residents.
  • Develop and maintain care plans that capture the unique stories and personal preferences of residents, ensuring their needs and desires are met.
  • Work closely with families, volunteers, and other clinical staff to mentor and provide guidance on facilitating leisure activities and encouraging meaningful interaction.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a high-quality service that meets the needs of our residents.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle qualifications or equivalent (desirable) or a Certificate 3 in Individual Support or similar.
  • Excellent program development and facilitation skills.
  • Outstanding people person skills and the ability to relate to residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong documentation and experience using a computerised Care Management System (desirable).
  • A passion to inspire people to live their lives with purpose and meaning.
  • A belief that every life can be enriched through possibility.
