As a Classroom Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to learners and teachers by undertaking various non-teaching duties. This role involves classroom administration and practical tasks that contribute to the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives outlined in educational plans.
Key Responsibilities- You will assist with the preparation of teaching materials, ensuring they meet the needs of learners.
- Your duties will include supporting learners and teachers as needed, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Classroom administration and practical tasks are also part of your responsibilities, which may involve managing resources and coordinating activities.
This role requires regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in relevant legislation. To be considered for this position, applicants must become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or have an updated PVG Scheme Record before employment can commence.
Working EnvironmentThe position is based at a school catering to pupils with severe, complex, and profound additional support needs. Experience working with such children is advantageous, but not essential. The working hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the Head Teacher.
