Fire Safety Specialist

The Queensland Fire Department is seeking individuals to contribute to fire safety and emergency preparedness in Queensland.
Role OverviewThis role requires you to join a team that responds to emergencies and promotes community safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend emergency incidents and participate in community education activities
- Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses
- Operate firefighting equipment and maintain station facilities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Mandatory requirements: Employer's consent, live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station, Australian Permanent Resident Status, Manual C Class driver's license
- Commit to attending 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours or 30% of calls as a shift worker
As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness
- Develop skills and competencies in firefighting and rescue operations
In this role, you are expected to demonstrate the following capabilities:
