Job Description:

The Child and Family Wellbeing Worker plays a pivotal role in promoting positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families. This involves delivering strength-based case management and activities to empower individuals and foster resilience within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement programs aligned with established guidelines to support the well-being of children and their families.
  • Provide targeted support and advocacy for vulnerable children and young people who may struggle with mental health issues.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local services and organizations to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of participants.
  • Support education and training initiatives within the community to promote mental health awareness and understanding.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant health or welfare discipline diploma or certificate is mandatory.
  • Proven experience working with children, young people, and families, including those from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understanding of a strength-based approach and competence in interventions relevant to children and young people is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building strong relationships with participants, community members, and other services.
