Family Support Specialist Opportunity in Katherine
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to provide strength-based case management and activities to children, young people, and families in line with program guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver strength-based case management and activities to children, young people, and families in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Provide outreach support to assist in the development and implementation of participant-centred plans.
- Establish referral pathways into and out of the service to reach vulnerable populations who may not otherwise engage with mental health or welfare services.
- Promote awareness of mental health through education, training, and information to participants and the community.
- Collaborate with other programs/regions as needed.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require a relevant qualification, experience working with children, young people, and families, including Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and strong communication skills.
Requirements:
- Current National Police Certificate;
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance;
- Ochre Card;
- NT Driver's Licence;
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Screening and Orientation Module.
