About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Game Designer to join our team at Light & Wonder. As a key member of our Gaming team, you will be responsible for creating and developing innovative poker machine games that maximize player appeal and game performance in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of concepts for new poker machine games that meet our high standards for player engagement and game performance.
  • Design fun and innovative math models that drive player excitement and satisfaction.
  • Perform complex mathematical calculations to ensure our games meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain programming tools to verify math models and analyze game play characteristics.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory documents, ensuring compliance with Light & Wonder's standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review and validate math-related calculations and submissions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and contribute to the development of new mathematical methods and techniques.
Requirements
  • Strong mathematical background, with expertise in probability and statistics.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in using linking and formulas to dynamically calculate probabilities and describe complex probabilistic events.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and open communication.
  • Desirable: knowledge of the gaming industry, and intermediate programming skills in C++, C#, Python, Unity, or related languages.
