About this Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underground Drill and Blast Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, schedule, and implement short-term mine plans to achieve operational objectives in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Engineer to ensure production plans align with weekly and monthly targets.
  • Conduct regular inspections of underground production areas, liaise with survey and geology departments, and provide technical support to underground supervisors and crew members.
  • Manage daily and weekly data for reporting purposes, blast vibration monitoring, and notifications, and provide technical input into large-scale production plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar underground role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience in mine design software, preferably Deswik.
  • Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of competency or ability to attain.
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card or proof of application.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
