Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Underground Drill and Blast Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing short-term drilling, blasting, and ancillary mine plans to achieve operational goals safely and efficiently
  • Coordinating production activities with the Scheduling Engineer to ensure production plans align with weekly and monthly targets
  • Inspecting and assessing underground production areas, liaising with survey and geology departments, and providing technical support to supervisors and crew members
  • Managing daily and weekly data for reporting purposes, blast vibration monitoring, and notifications, and contributing to large-scale production plans

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in a similar underground position
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience in mine design software, with Deswik being preferred
  • Experience in a production engineering-related role with exposure to underground ventilation
  • Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of competency or ability to attain it
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card or proof of application
  • Residency in the Goldfields region or willingness to relocate
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers Licence
Required Skills and Qualifications
