About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Signalling Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of signalling systems, ensuring they function safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation: Setting up new signalling systems or upgrading existing ones according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections, testing, and maintenance procedures to ensure proper functioning of signalling equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing faults or malfunctions in signalling equipment, implementing appropriate repairs or adjustments to restore functionality.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Conducting thorough testing of signalling systems to ensure reliability and adherence to safety regulations before putting them into service.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and testing results to track history and performance of signalling equipment.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other railway personnel to coordinate signalling activities and ensure safe and efficient movement of trains.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Electrical - Rail Signalling
  • Electrical license
  • RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Identification)
  • 3+ years of experience as a Signalling Technician
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
  • Construction white card
  • C-class driver's licence
  • Strong communication skills
