Job Description

A dynamic humanitarian aid and development agency seeks a skilled professional to lead the establishment and mobilization of a courageous movement for peace with justice.

This role involves uniting and equipping communities of faith to take collective action, driving impactful campaigns, and fostering deep relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in faith-based mobilization, community organizing, or church leadership.

The Head of Movement Mobilisation will be responsible for developing and implementing relational organising, leadership development, and mobilisation initiatives that transform parishioners, churches, and members of the community into active movement builders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to build and strengthen the movement for peace
  • Foster deep relationships with church leaders and parishioners to drive collective action
  • Design and implement impactful campaigns that align faith-based values with actions for change
  • Embed storytelling and power analysis in daily practice to inspire action and map social and institutional power structures

Requirements

  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams through complexity with a focus on care, learning, and shared leadership
  • Experience in faith-based mobilization, community organizing, or church leadership
  • Relationship management skills: Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Theological fluency and faith-based insight: Understanding of Christian theology and mission
