Job Description

This leadership position plays a pivotal role within our technology department, reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise & Transformation Programs. As the IT Area Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end payments lifecycle, from initiation to settlement, across diverse channels and platforms.

You will lead the development and implementation of the Technology strategy for the Payments Domain, creating technology roadmaps and strategic plans that outline key initiatives, milestones, and resource requirements to achieve strategic objectives.

In this dynamic role, you will be required to be capable of long-term strategic planning and work collaboratively with your business counterparts (Tribe Leads) to develop and execute a technology strategy and roadmap that is aligned with our overarching business goals.

The ideal candidate will have senior managerial experience in planning, managing, and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within our overall policy framework. A strong understanding of the Finance Industry with 3+ years' experience leading Payment system management and delivery is also essential.

Additionally, you will need to demonstrate experience providing expert competence with 10-15 years of experience in technology, preferably with retail banking and finance industry. You should also have demonstrated experience in leading a technical delivery team with equivalent scale, scope, and complexity within the Payments domain.

What We're Looking For
  • Senior managerial experience in planning, managing, and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within our overall policy framework.
  • Strong understanding of the Finance Industry with 3+ years' experience leading Payment system management and delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience providing expert competence with 10-15 years of experience in technology, preferably with retail banking and finance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a technical delivery team with equivalent scale, scope, and complexity within the Payments domain.
