Job Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-value engineering projects for clients.

Our team has extensive experience improving production processes in various industries, including Manufacturing, Ports & Rail, Resources, and Energy.

  • The design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment tailored for mining and heavy industrial applications.
  • Comprehensive technical analyses, feasibility studies, and meticulous cost estimations for emerging projects.
  • Technical mentorship to project teams, encompassing design and construction segments.
  • Assurance of compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Troubleshooting support to operational and maintenance units.
  • Comprehensive inspections and audits to ensure alignment with company benchmarks.

This role will contribute significantly to our involvement in a large-scale capital works program, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment for mining and heavy industrial applications.
  2. Perform comprehensive technical analyses, feasibility studies, and cost estimations for emerging projects.
  3. Provide technical mentorship to project teams, covering design and construction segments.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  5. Offer troubleshooting support to operational and maintenance units.
  6. Conduct comprehensive inspections and audits to align with company benchmarks.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent platforms.
  • An aptitude for analytical thinking and adeptness in navigating complex problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication skills, underscored by an ability for seamless teamwork.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations pertinent to the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
