Senior Mechanical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

  • Key responsibilities include site engineering activities, preliminary engineering design, layout works for conveyor systems, and delivering audit reports.
  • Ongoing duties will also involve complete detailed drawings, general arrangements, schematics, and sketches when required.
  • Audits of customers fixed and mobile plant will be undertaken as directed.
  • Innovative designs will be scrutinised and economically optimised to achieve the best value solution.
  • Document administration tasks will be executed and managed including issue of documents, drawings, reports, and revision control.
  • The schedule, budget, and quality of work assigned will be monitored and controlled.
  • Investigations into field-related issues or improvement opportunities will be undertaken.
  • Collaboration with third-party contractors will be essential.
  • Commissioning activities may also be required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role preferably in bulk material handling or heavy industrial/mining industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Drafting.
  • Full Driver Licence (Class C).
  • Proficiency in CAD software particularly AutoCAD and Inventor and Vault.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical discipline.
