Operational Risk Management Specialist

AustralianSuper seeks an experienced Operational Risk Management Specialist to join their Member Operations Department. This key role will be responsible for owning and maintaining a standardized approach to operational risk management, ensuring functional teams are supported with tools, frameworks, processes, and guidance to deliver Superannuation and Insurance products and services safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience within superannuation, solid working knowledge of superannuation legislation obligations, contractual acumen across material service providers, strong stakeholder management skills, and excellent communication skills. They will work closely with Line 1 risk teams and business owners, building and embedding a standardised approach to operational oversight and third-party risk management of outsourced services.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of frameworks, controls, processes, and guidelines to ensure effective operational risk management.
  • Collaborate with internal business units and external service providers to identify and address issues impacting members.
  • Coordinate data collation and proposal writing to mature the Fund's approach to Operational Risk Management and change oversight at third parties.

Requirements:
