Senior Medical Officer

As a skilled and competent senior rural generalist, you will practice high-level in-patient and emergency medicine independently, with a broad scope of practice despite limited onsite investigations available.
You will be required to provide backfill at other rural hospitals when necessary. Your experience in delivering quality care to inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department clients across various acuity and care needs is essential.
The National Quality & Safety Standards should guide your delivery of safe and quality-focused patient-centered care.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Possession of Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) +/- FARGP or Fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) is highly regarded.
- Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16 is mandatory.
