Job Title: Senior Medical Officer

About the Role:

In this challenging position, you will be expected to provide high-level primary health care services within a dynamic and passionate team. Your key responsibility will be to ensure that safe, high-quality patient-centered care is delivered. You will work under the supervision of senior medical staff to develop management plans, perform medical treatment, and initiate research and evaluation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary health care services under the supervision of senior medical staff
  • Develop management plans and perform medical treatment and investigations under supervision of senior medical staff
  • Initiate, encourage, and participate in research, evaluation, and evidence-based treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvements in patient care and service outcomes
  • Involvement in teaching and furthering your education and training in the discipline of primary health care and emergency response

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality medical care to patients in primary health care
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary health care team
  • Demonstrated high level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to own development and continuous self-improvement and identifies learning opportunities in every day work

Mandatory Requirements:

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
