Financial Crime Compliance Assurance Expert

We seek forward-thinking professionals who can leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights to enhance assurance activities, identify emerging risks, and drive continuous improvement.

This role is part of the Group's Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the group's financial crime shared services.

The ideal candidate will safeguard the CBA Group against financial crime risks by providing independent assurance. This requires leveraging data analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights to enhance assurance activities, identify emerging risks, and drive continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct data-driven reviews using advanced analytics to identify anomalies, trends, and control weaknesses.
  • Support the development of AI-enabled monitoring frameworks to proactively detect financial crime risks.
  • Drive the adoption of visualization tools and dashboards to support reporting of assurance outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to digitize and automate assurance processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and AI applications supporting financial crime compliance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data analytics, visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and scripting languages (Python, SQL).
  • Proven experience within an assurance, audit or similar function, preferably with exposure to the banking and finance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Understanding of the financial crime regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
