This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, passionate, and results-driven Graduate or First Year Lawyer to join our Newcastle Office. You will be working with one of our most experienced and respected practice groups nationally and will have the opportunity to manage your own files.
As a public liability lawyer at Slater and Gordon, you will assist clients who have suffered injuries due to another party's breach of duty of care. Some examples include slips and trips on public or private property, unsafe premises, dog or animal attacks, physical assaults, defective products or services, sporting accidents, and injuries on private property.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Instrumental in managing a Public Liability practice
- Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
- Ability to exercise judgment and resolve problems expeditiously

- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to handle sensitive issues and challenging clients
- Ability to exercise judgment and resolve problems expeditiously
- Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
The estimated salary for this position is around $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
