Elderly Wellbeing Specialist

As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will be instrumental in creating and implementing lifestyle activities and programs that cater to the social, psychological, recreational cultural and spiritual wellbeing of our residents.
This involves:
- Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
- Conducting resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each resident's preferences and needs
- Planning and implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents' family and friends
- Acting as team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to the lifestyle team
- Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A kind heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or similar
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Strong coaching/training skills
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
- Great IT skills
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
