Healthcare Professional - Patient Care Specialist
">Job Summary:
This role involves working in a hospital setting, utilizing excellent communication and relationship building skills to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare. The ideal candidate will be experienced in phlebotomy and have a strong patient-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising & building effective relationships with different stakeholders within the hospital including doctors, nurses and patients
- Advanced Pathology Collection - Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) across different wards & areas
- Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy ideally with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a nursing background
- Excellent liaison and communication skills, with a high level of empathy & a patient centred approach
- Organized, with high attention to detail
- Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain one
- Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role
- Other vaccinations based on location may be required / setting
