A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) delivers patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities include observing patients, reporting to the registered nurse, and maintaining the patient environment.
The PCA also responds to patient and family queries, maintains patient privacy, and addresses emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs.
