The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead our project delivery team and drive quality control, technical excellence, and client relationships forward.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a real impact and shape the future of our organization.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of construction drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, coordination, and compliance
  • Leadership of quality control processes across multiple projects as a Design Practitioner
  • Effective management and forecasting of resources, ensuring teams remain efficient and projects profitable
  • Close monitoring of delivery timelines and budgets, guaranteeing targets are met
  • Support of Project Leaders and Associates in resolving technical and construction challenges
  • Action as a bridge between design and delivery – ensuring the design intent is upheld through to completion
  • Liaison with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve documentation and construction queries
  • Mentorship and guidance of team members on technical delivery and documentation best practice

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 15+ years of local architecture experience with strong construction and delivery expertise in Class 2 projects
  • Registration as an Architect in Australia
  • Registration as a Design Partitioner (NSW)
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for getting documentation right
  • Strong understanding of codes, standards, and construction methodologies
  • Excellent resource and budget management skills
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across clients, consultants, and teams
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others

Technical Tools:

  • ArchiCAD and BIM (BIM360 environment)
  • Microsoft Office
