Technical Sales and POS Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales and POS Systems Specialist to support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our point-of-sale systems. This role is responsible for providing technical assistance to staff and customers, resolving hardware and software issues, and collaborating with vendors to ensure seamless system operation.

This specialist will be the primary point of contact for all POS-related inquiries, troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure system uptime and efficiency. Additionally, this role will involve developing a comprehensive understanding of our products and services, managing sales pipelines, and delivering product demos and presentations to potential clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer science or information technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A collaborative and proactive approach to customer service is essential, along with a willingness to continuously update knowledge on the latest trends and technologies in POS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain POS systems, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Provide technical support to staff and customers, resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless system operation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services, their features, and benefits.
  • Manage and maintain sales pipelines, accurately tracking all interactions and communications with prospects and clients.
  • Schedule and conduct product demos and presentations for potential clients.
  • Train staff and customers on the proper use and maintenance of POS systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical sales or support role, preferably with POS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of POS hardware and software, including peripherals such as scanners, printers, and cash drawers.
  • Familiarity with networking and security concepts related to POS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
