Trade Assistant/Factory Labourer Role

We are seeking a skilled Trade Assistant/Factory Labourer to support our engineering team in Preston. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and possess mechanical aptitude.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting engineers with various tasks, including facilities maintenance, assembly work, and operating power tools. A Forklift license would be an advantage, but not essential.

This is a casual position with regular 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. The ability to commute to Preston is required.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have Australia Work Authorisation and the necessary skills and qualifications outlined below.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Trades Assistant
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of applied mechanical processes
  • Facilities maintenance experience
  • Ability to read basic drawings and follow instructions
  • Experience using power tools
