A challenging opportunity exists for a skilled Construction Project Lead to join our team in Henderson, Western Australia.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in shipbuilding and experience in a project/production leadership role. They will be able to develop and implement a construction plan that ensures outputs are delivered consistently and provide leadership and coaching to the construction teams to ensure vessel construction is achieved safely and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable and empower the construction team to deliver to cost, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction standards.
- Utilising Project Management principles, develop a culture of best practice in construction management, project delivery and leadership.
- Identify, develop, and implement a construction plan that will ensure outputs are delivered consistently.
- Develop and performance manage against an approved and baselined schedule.
- Safety leadership.
Requirements:
- Essential:
- 3+ Years' experience in a Project/Production Leadership role.
- 10+ years' experience in the shipbuilding industry.
- Good management skills and team building capability.
- Good communications skills, and proven stakeholder management ability.
- Competency in Microsoft office.
- Understanding of project management principles including Earned Value Management.
- Desirable:
- Qualification in Project Management.
- Experience in a Project Management role or equivalent.
- A good understanding of Earned Value Management.
- Knowledge of ship operation and management.
- Knowledge of facility management.
