Management Accounting Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Victoria on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Manager Finance, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality management reporting for the business, partnering with stakeholders and providing them with finance advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and control the month-end process ensuring all journals are posted accurately, in a controlled manner, and in accordance with policy and deadlines.
- Assist state management accountants in key areas including cost centre and project forecasts for all cost centres and provide project managers with their monthly results within required timeframes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information particularly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Proactively liaise with the broader organisation to ensure risks and queries are identified addressed and resolved promptly.
- Support project maintenance in Workday including project creation close-out capitalisation and ensuring integrity of master data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and international accounting standards.
About the Role
The Networks Finance function is accountable for delivering management accounting services for the AGN networks (SA VIC NSW QLD) GDI network (QLD) and APA's own Central Ranges network.
The team is accountable for statutory financial reporting treasury back office company financial policy technical accounting regulatory accounting business advice finance system support and enhancement.
