About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to be part of our SEQ Capital Works division. This position entails the supervision of planning, execution, and delivery of construction and renovation projects on behalf of our clients. Your proficiency will be vital in guaranteeing that projects are finalized punctually, within financial constraints, and adhere to the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight:
    • Formulate and oversee project plans, incorporating risk management, procurement strategies, and life-cycle assessments.
    • Ensure that projects fulfill all design, regulatory, and cost-effectiveness criteria.
  • Consultant Coordination:
    • Draft briefs, terms of reference, and tender documentation for consultants.
    • Supervise consultant outputs to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Contractor Supervision:
    • Prepare tender documentation for both conventional and unconventional contracts.
    • Act as the Principal's Representative and Contract Superintendent, ensuring adherence to Australian standards and contractual obligations.
    • Oversee project commissioning, handover, and maintenance protocols.
  • Professional Insight:
    • Bring extensive client-side project management experience in the construction sector.
    • Leverage your educational background in building construction.
  • Communication & Business Insight:
    • Effectively engage stakeholders and relay project updates.
    • Ensure project objectives for time, cost, quality, and client satisfaction are achieved.
    • Maintain precise project management documentation and seek process enhancements.
  • Leadership:
    • Guide and mentor project teams, both internal and external.
    • Provide direction and support to project managers under your supervision.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Substantial experience in client-side project management within the construction industry.
  • Robust understanding of project management methodologies, contract law, and Australian tendering practices.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
