Job Summary:

The Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all daily, weekly, and monthly fund accounting and compliance activities for all internal and external funds under management. This role requires a high level of expertise in financial operations and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Unit Pricing: Ensure accurate and timely unit pricing of all in-house funds on a bi-monthly and monthly basis.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile cash to fund monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Portfolio Reconciliation: Reconcile portfolio to holdings monthly/quarterly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Management Reporting: Provide regular management reports to stakeholders on fund performance and compliance.
  • Procedures and Compliance: Develop and maintain procedures and checklists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Asset Valuation: Conduct quarterly audits of asset valuation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Fund Accounts and External Audit: Assist with fund accounts and external audit yearly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely preparation, review, and lodgement of BASs, Tax Returns, and other tax compliance activities.
  • FATCA and CRS Compliance: Ensure compliance with Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standards (CRS) issued by relevant taxation authorities.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes and internal controls to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Platform Improvement: Improve the platform in all aspects, including cash accounting, fund accounting, tax compliance, and continuous improvement and development.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Bookkeeping and Tax Compliance: Assist with bookkeeping and tax compliance for various legal entities within the group structure where required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Over 4 years' fund accounting experience within Alternative Unlisted assets – Property, Private Debt, Credit, Private Equity funds.
  • Education: An accountancy degree and postgraduate studies and CA/CPA are desirable.
  • Skills: Strong PC skills, including Word and Excel, and an ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent attention to detail, proactive in all aspects of work, and ability to collaborate with others and drive tasks and projects to completion.
