Senior Driller Role

This is a senior-level position in drilling operations, requiring a high degree of responsibility and expertise. The successful candidate will lead drilling teams to ensure safe and efficient operations, coordinate logistics, and liaise closely with project managers and engineers to deliver accurate subsurface data for environmental and construction projects.

  • Lead and supervise drilling teams to guarantee operational excellence and compliance with safety protocols
  • Plan and organize drilling activities, equipment, and site logistics to optimize productivity and minimize downtime
  • Conduct drilling tasks including soil sampling, core drilling, and borehole installation, applying knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment
  • Maintain and service drilling rigs and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Interpret drilling data and prepare comprehensive site documentation and reports
  • Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and site personnel to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling, with a proven track record of leadership and team management
  • Strong understanding of drilling techniques, equipment maintenance, and operation, as well as valid certifications
  • Ability to read and interpret drilling logs and geotechnical reports, apply problem-solving skills, and think critically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
  • Traffic Control certification, First Aid certification, and experience working on large infrastructure or civil projects would be highly regarded
