
Resident Engagement Coordinator

The primary objective of this position is to cultivate an engaging environment that caters to the social, recreational, and cultural needs of residents. As a Recreational Activities Officer, you will lead mental health and wellbeing programs aimed at empowering residents' choices and independence.
Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and leading activities designed to promote social interaction, community engagement, and personal growth among residents.
- Program Development:
- Craft and implement initiatives that foster a sense of community, inclusivity, and mutual respect among residents.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs by tracking resident progress and making adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification.
- Possess a valid Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Previous experience within an aged or community care setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- Exercise problem-solving skills independently and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Understand and adhere to Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
