
Advanced Paediatric Speech Pathology Specialist

This position is designed to provide advanced-level clinical and consultancy services in paediatric speech pathology within an acute hospital setting.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to advancing quality speech pathology services and optimal patient care through clinical leadership and professional supervision.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in contemporary paediatric speech pathology practice, with the ability to apply evidence-based principles to develop solutions for complex cases.
Key Responsibilities- To provide expert clinical advice and support to patients and families with complex feeding/swallowing disorders and communication difficulties.
- To lead quality and service improvement initiatives, ensuring best-practice standards are met across all areas of speech pathology services.
- To provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff members, promoting their growth and development within the profession.
- To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Possession of a tertiary degree in Speech Pathology from a recognised institution and eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia is mandatory.
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the relevant registration authority is required prior to commencement of clinical duties.
