The Role

This position involves providing expert technical advice on mine and rehabilitation activities to ensure site safety and stability. You will lead routine monitoring and analysis, including groundwater routines, weight balance analysis, and data management. Additionally, you will scope and coordinate drilling activities and technical studies, managing consultant designs and proposals, identifying geotechnical and hydrogeological hazards, and ensuring compliance through trend tracking and proactive response to non-compliance events.

About the Position

You will require a tertiary degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, Geology, or a relevant discipline. In addition to this qualification, you must have proven expertise in hydrogeology within a mining context, with a strong grasp of groundwater systems and geotechnical interactions. Familiarity with the regulatory landscape governing mining and environmental management is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical advice on mine and rehabilitation activities.
