Job Title: English (Literacy) Specialist Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English (Literacy) Specialist Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a whole-school approach to teaching English, working closely with staff to support the effective implementation of English through professional learning, modelling, feedback, and resourcing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum that meets the needs of all students, aligned with national standards and frameworks.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver engaging and evidence-based learning programs, promoting a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse student data to inform teaching and track progress, using data to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor colleagues and drive professional development to improve English teaching and learning, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Culture and Feedback: Foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement through modelling and coaching, promoting a growth mindset and a love of learning.
