About the Role

We seek an experienced person to join our team on a part-time basis (25 hours per week).

To succeed, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Day-to-day horse care duties, including grooming, feeding and exercising
  • Attention to detail in maintaining high levels of horse care and training records
  • Maintaining horses' general wellbeing and escalating concerns as directed
  • Assisting with horse identification, intake and out-take procedures, and Off the Track estate programs if required

Requirements

We are looking for someone with at least two years experience working with horses. You should have demonstrated riding ability and be able to assess a horse's handling and temperament.

You should also have knowledge of general horse care and husbandry, be able to work independently and manage your time effectively.

Additionally, you should have self-motivation, prioritization skills and be willing to work outside normal business days/hours if required.

We also require a current 'C' class driver's license, physical fitness and the ability to cope with the physical demands of the role.

Above all, you must have attention to detail and high standards of care.

Horse Riding Experience

The ideal candidate will have a background in thoroughbred or standardbred horses. They should be familiar with farm machinery and maintenance standards.

Knowledge of the WA thoroughbred or harness racing industry would be beneficial.
