Job Title: Key Passport Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced passport officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in biometric technology, passport chip technology, and passport security features.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our passports remain interoperable worldwide and feature the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain expertise on biometric technology, passport chip technology, passport security features, public key infrastructure, and book technology.
  • Engage with international stakeholders, participating in working groups related to passport technology.
  • Work on projects related to current and future series of passports and travel technologies.
  • Support and advise on technologies for the department, including facial recognition technology.
Requirements
  • Expertise in passport technology, biometrics, and emerging technologies such as AI and quantum computing is essential.
