Naval Architect

The role of a Naval Architect involves delivering system solutions for naval ships. This entails performing structural calculations, ensuring ship systems comply with relevant standards and regulations, and conducting Systems Engineering assessments to guarantee project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct structural calculations to meet required standards
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including IMO, AMSA, Commercial, and Naval Standards
  • Assess General Design requirements through Systems Engineering methodologies
  • Document deliverables in accordance with project management plans
Requirements:
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Naval Architecture or a related field
  • Experience with 2D CAD software, specifically AutoCAD, and familiarity with other specialist tools
  • Familiarity with Class Society rules, primarily Lloyds Register Rules
  • Eligibility to qualify for ITAR clearance
